Week 2, Thing 3: Blog
OK, I appear to have a a blog. Now what? I could tell you what I'm reading... I recently finished The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and loved it, as have several of my 8th grade students. So now I'm reading Reservation Blues. His writing moves me deeply: keenly observant, lyrical, funny, heartbreaking. He doesn't pull any punches. I think this title is a bit much for my students, but I'm thoroughly engaged.

I absolutely loved PART TIME INDIAN, too! I read it in one sitting and my kids kept coming upstairs to see why I was screaming!
